Samantha Griffitts provides therapy to people of all ages for a wide range of issues. Her unique passion is treating all forms of anxiety, as well as the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral management of medical issues.

Samantha’s vision is to help individuals and families manage their stresses, fears, and worries in a way that promotes growth, healing, and continuity of every life story. Her mission is to provide a relaxing atmosphere of openness and compassion to work on hard things. Samantha is particularly passionate about working with individuals and families who struggle with medical anxiety, such as anxiety related to food allergies, as well as the emotional and behavioral management of illnesses such as Celiac Disease, Diabetes and PKU.

The therapy Samantha offers utilizes systemic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative, and Collaborative approaches. She especially enjoys utilizing journaling, bibliotherapy, art, and creative writing in the therapeutic process.

Samantha Griffitts is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Shelbyville, Kentucky. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in psychobiology from Centre College, a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and additional training in Crisis & Trauma Care from the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Samantha is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, the Society for Christian Psychology, Food Allergy Research & Education, and the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapists.
